Anna Christine Campbell Smock 1938-2014

Anna Christine Smock of Danville died Tuesday at Indiana University Health West Hospital in Avon. She was 76.
Born July 10, 1938, in Johnson City, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late William Sidney and Dixie Mae Human Campbell. She was the widow of Everett Vernon Smock, who she married June 2, 1959, in Johnson City.
Mrs. Smock was an elementary school teacher at Hazelwood Elementary School and Mill Creek Elementary East for 34 years before retiring in 2002.
She was a longtime member of the Hazelwood Christian Church.
Survivors include daughters Cindy Carlisle of Danville and Stephanie Cummins of Monrovia; a son, Byron Smock of Ft. Myers, Fla.; sisters Linda Scott and Marilyn Morrison, both of Johnson City; a brother, Billy S. Campbell of Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield with the Rev. Steve Ranson officiating. Interment will be at Clayton Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
